Spring has arrived- read on to find out what you may spot at Saltwells Nature Reserve this season. We also have a range of walk and events planned- join us for guided bluebell walks, a dawn chorus walk and a moth morning, alongside our usual craft, litter picking and conservation sessions. Come along and join us!

This Spring we have a range of walks exploring many of the wonders that Saltwells Nature Reserve has to offer. Come and learn how to use bat detectors to locate some of the many bat species that can be found here; enjoy the sights and scents of a bluebell walk, or if you're feeling a little more energetic join us for a walk around the perimeter of the nature reserve. Please email us friendsofsaltwells@gmail.com to book a place on any of these walks as numbers are limited.

Join us for our free craft event during the half term holidays where we will be creating crafts to celebrate the Chinese year of the horse. Drop in between 11am and 1pm. Children need to be accompanied by a responsible adult.

If you go down to the wood today, (or over the next week or so), you may be in for a BIG surprise! The Friends of Saltwells Pumpkin trail has now been installed at Saltwells wood and will be up during the school half term holiday. This is a self-guided trail- just follow the purple arrows around the sculpture trail from the car park and see if you can spot all of the pumpkins and the spider's web. Have fun!
